Like many people during lockdown I found comfort in arts and crafts, so grateful to have access to tools and materials to keep me busy. Here is a selection of some of my favourite little things I made during this time - including; designing and creating a mask, foraging, taking pictures on my daily walks and developing a film poster.

I had this piece accepted into a book about Cumbrian artists life during lockdown.
This is what it is about,
“My piece is a representation of how during lockdown I have had time to find new journeys through nature. Carlisle has so many green spaces to explore, I can’t believe that in over seven years of living here I had never visited so many. The layered print contains lots of symbolic imagery, such as footsteps and rivers - but most importantly depicts myself walking my way into a more positive mind. The benefits of nature for mind and body is innumerable and I feel very lucky to be living in Carlisle where I can access it with ease.”

I helped contribute visual arts activities that can be done at home for Cumbria’s Museum of Military Life, which can be found on their website here, as well as for Prism Arts some of which can be seen on their instagram or facebook! This was a great tonic to be able to share skills and ideas with others whilst being stuck at home.
I also created this poster, as a reminder that we need to take care of our personal safety during lockdown walks. Please feel free to share this poster to spread the word.
